• A little background on Pink Ice: pink YAG-yttrium aluminum garnet; first synthesized in 50's & used primarily in optics & laser technology. Colourless version was popular in early 70's prior to CZ's being introduced. As used in jewelry, YAG is prized for its clarity, durability, high refractive index & dispersion. Who knew?
