Rememberingthe soft sand beneath her feet, Kahn reminisces on the soothing flow of water as its body moves over the beaches back into its great domain. In her work, cylindrical beads travel in a progression of value as Kahn takes the eye through a journey of white, gray, olive and bronze, to pale blue-green, turquoise and down to a dramatic ultramarine. As the gaze moves into a richer collection of color, the mind may delight, as if the body itself is swimming out to sea.To compliment this reflection of a seamless, moving tide, she scripts a line of faceted, Swiss blue topaz briolettes.
